MABLE KIPENDA
Dr. Mable Kipenda is a dedicated medical doctor and public health expert with over seven years of experience advancing health systems and policies in Zambia and the Sub-Saharan Africa region. She now serves as Director for Clinical Research and Health Programs at Urban Health 360.


As a co-founding partner of Copper Rose Zambia, she has played a pivotal role in strengthening sexual and reproductive health services for adolescents, women, and underserved populations. Her work has spanned clinical care, national health strategies, advocacy, and research. Dr. Kipenda has been instrumental in developing over 10 successful research and grant proposals, as well as national health policy documents, including the National Adolescent Health Strategic Plan and the National Reproductive Health Policy, in collaboration with Zambia’s Ministry of Health.
A respected technical advisor, she has led impactful health interventions and research in adolescent health, gender-transformative approaches, and maternal health. A national co-investigator, she has shared her work at major global forums, including ICASA and the Medical Women’s International Conference. Dr. Kipenda is also a Mandela Washington Alumnus and a Chevening award recipient, recognized for her leadership in public health innovation. With her expertise and a passion for driving sustainable health reforms, she continues to shape systems that prioritize equity, accessibility, and youth empowerment.
Her encouragement to young people is to stay focused, determined, and consistent, because with these qualities, the rest will unfold naturally.
